Traveling Tips
- For any special requirements such as overnight stay, morning breakfast, simple dinner, pls inform temple authorities well in advance to make necessary arrangements. Please note There is no other accommodation and hotels available nearby temple.
- If you are group traveler (more than twenty-five members), pls inform temple authorities well in advance to make necessary arrangements
- This temple is away from the city, please carry required puja material, coconut, fruits, flowers etc.
- If you are planning for overnight stay at the temple pls bring your own sleeping comforts as only basic minimum essential arrangements are available.
- Make sure to carry all your medicines, toiletries and other essential things required for your stay as there are no shops nearby.
- There are no petrol bunks in between Shahabad and Honagunta, ensuring sufficient fuel in your vehicle.
- Evening Sevas (Palaki/Tottilu) are performed between 7-9 PM, recommendation is to stay in the temple for that night, in case you are performing those Sevas.
- If you are not traveling by your own vehicle, check the bus timing with the temple office. They may be able to help in arranging an auto or taxi.
Do’s
- Plan and try to reach the temple before 10AM, so that you can participate in all Sevas comfortably and confirm your count to temple authorities for Seva and Mahaprasadam.
- Switch Off or put your Mobile phone in silent mode while you are inside the temple complex
- Leave your footwear/shoes in the designated place.
- Take care of your belongings as temple authority is not responsible for the loss/damage of your belongings.
- Pilgrims are requested to wear Hindu traditional dresses, while entering devi shrine.
- Concentrate on the Goddess Shree Chandralaparameshwari puja while you are inside devi shrine.
- Observe silence and reduce noise inside the devi shrine.
- Respect and listen to the temple priest’s instruction, follow the same.
- Respect traditional customs while at the temple.
- Request to volunteer and help temple authorities in serving food or any other activity when it is more crowded as we have acute shortage of manpower.
- Deposit your offerings in the Hundi(cash) or in the office(material) and get a receipt.
- Approach for assistance from the Temple office for any clarification or during emergencies.
- Help us to keep the temple complex clean and hygienic.
- Help us by abiding by the rules of the temple to serve you better.
Don’t’s
- Carrying/wearing expensive jewelry and cash with you.
- Wearing footwear inside the temple complex
- Eating and bringing non-vegetarian food inside temple complex.
- Consume liquor or other intoxicants and visit temples.
- Smoking in the temple complex.
- Rush in for Darshan.
- Taking photos inside devi shrine.
- Spitting or creating nuisance in the premises of the Temple.
- Chewing tobacco, gutka etc and littering inside the temple complex.
- Throwing plastic covers into the river
- Entering the restricted areas such as the kitchen, sanctum sanctorum, where there is a no-entry board.
- Cooking and offering Naivedya to Devi which is not prepared by a designated temple staff.
